For those who have emigrated, the fear of being forgotten and alone always looms in their minds. The English newspaper in the background serves as a poignant commentary on the immigrant experience, capturing the mood of a dislocated soul trying to find their footing in a new world. Old photos and books serve as a vital tether to our past lives, the only tangible connection to the land and loved ones we left behind.
