The photo series "Double Life" explores the duality of an Iranian woman's life.The images in this collection depict the contrasting aspects of traditional and modern values that coexist in a women's life.
The photographs also feature objects that represent the traditional living environment of the woman, such as an old television, a samovar, a hand broom, chadur, and traditional frames. These objects serve to contrast the modern clothing and fashion of the woman, highlighting the disparity between her traditional living environment and her embrace of modern western values.
The woman in the this photo is positioned beneath traditional mirrors with half-open doors, which symbolize the limitations of a her traditional view. However, in her hands, she holds modern western magazines that reflect a desire for modernization and a departure from traditional values.
Through the use of sensory imagery, the project aims to convey the tension and struggle that exists in the dual life of this Iranian woman. It raises questions about the balance between tradition and modernity and how individuals navigate this duality in their everyday lives.
