ABOUT SITA


Sita is a self-taught freelance photographer and translator of Iranian-American descent, passionately dedicated to representing women's experiences. Born in Tehran, Iran, Sita now resides in the United States. She examines the relationship between women and the religious and cultural value systems in Islamic countries and contemporary communities, focusing primarily on themes such as gender, identity, and social dynamics.

Sita's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in Marketing. However, her true passion lies in photography, where she strives to portray the complex relationship between women and the world around them in sensitive way.

In addition to her photography work, Sita is also a skilled translator. Her fifth book, titled How to Be an Artist, was recently published in Tehran. Through her writings and translations, Sita hopes to inspire and empower individuals to pursue their passions, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances.
